Vardenafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It is an oral medication for male sexual disorders such as erectile dysfunction. This drug helps increase blood flow to the penis to achieve sustained erection.
Vardenafil is a specific and effective enzyme inhibitor of phosphodiesterase (PDE5), responsible for cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) metabolism in the smooth muscles. PDE type 5 enzyme inhibition allows smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow during sexual stimulation into the penis’ corpus cavernosum, thus producing an erection.

Vardenafil is a potent and selective phosphodiesterase (PDE5) enzyme inhibitor responsible for the metabolism of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscles. The inhibition of PDE type 5 enzyme causes smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow into the corpus cavernosum of the penis during sexual stimulation, thereby producing an erection.
