How To Take 

This medicine may be taken with or without food. 

Try to take it at the same time each day. It must be taken regularly for it to be effective. 

Take exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by the doctor.

Dosage of Cetirizine (ZYRTEC) 10 mg

Adult: 10 mg once daily.

Missed Dose of Cetirizine (ZYRTEC) 10 mg

If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule.

Do not double a dose under any circumstances. 

Overdose of Cetirizine (ZYRTEC) 10 mg

How Does It Work?

Cetirizine works competitively and selectively in the gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels and respiratory tract by inhibiting H1 receptors. This is one of the first second-generation H1 antihistamines produced without any sedative effects.
